Yuvon Robin, Academic Budget Specialist, was selected as the Texas State Employee of the Month for September 2011.
Yuvon began her career at Texas State in February of 2000. She is responsible for all the budgeting aspects in Materials, Science, Engineering, and Commercialization (MSEC). Yuvon is described by her peers as self-motivated and a team player. She is extremely helpful and efficient to Dr. Myers and many of the other researchers. This isn’t an easy task since the researchers spend most of their time out of the office. Yuvon is diligent in ensuring all purchases are approved, invoices are paid, and questions are answered in a timely manner. Yuvon plays an important role in managing contracts for several faculty members and ensuring they maintain compliance in their grants. She is always willing and eager to help.
Yuvon is always available even when she is scheduled to be off. She is a wealth of information and is able to point faculty in the right direction to help them get what they need. One of her peers stated, “Yuvon is energetic in all the meetings and remains influential in promoting research administration…”
Congratulations, Yuvon, on being recognized as the September 2011 Employee of the Month!
