Commercialization Efforts

The MSEC Program combines several different commercialization efforts:
- Doctoral Student Commercialization Activities- combines a strong traditional research-based degree with training oriented toward entrepreneurship and industry-oriented skills
- Entrepreneurs in Residence- MSEC students are mentored in their commercialization activities by experts in entrepreneurship.
- Research Service Centers- fee for service access to state of the art analytical instrumentation
- Technology Transfer and Contracts- identify Intellectual Property resulting from research at Texas State University, protect it, and facilitate the commercialization to business and industry; and, when feasible, assist in the formation of start-up businesses that utilize the university’s technology in order to provide benefits to the university and the regional economy.
